About 12:30 in the afternoon, firefighters responded to a reported electrical fire on Cammie Avenue. The first units on the scene reported to fire alarm that a tree had fallen in the back yard of that residence, and they stated that power lines had been knocked down as well. All the firemen could do until the power company arrived was wait. After the power was shut off, firemen discovered that the main wires to the house were melted all the way into the attic. Using a k-12 saw and some water, firemen were able to control the smoky fire quickly.
