Around 10pm firefighters responded to reports of an overturned tractor trailer truck that was carrying an unknown material on Jefferson Highway near the Sazerac Plant.  Firefighters found one truck on its side with a liquid substance leaking from the bottom of the container.  After reviewing the bill of laden and finding nothing mentioning what the truck was carrying, firefighters and officials with the state police attempted to find a clean up crew for the mess.  After searching for several hours, the state police finally agreed to send a team to the scene.  West bound Jefferson Highway was shut down until about 6 am.  It was determined that the chemicals were a mixture used for car washes.
